Offset

You need to offset the selected entity a certain distance toward a specified direction. The function is only applicable to linear elements and area elements.

Linear Element

1. Click Offset, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to offset, and then right-click to confirm.
2. Specify the offset direction and distance, or in the offset box, enter the offset value, and then press Enter.

3. In the following window, click Yes or No as needed to determine whether the original entities are reserved. The selected entities will be offset to the target location.

Area Element:

1. Click Offset, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to offset, and then right-click to confirm.
2. In the following window, select to offset all edges or multiple edges. To offset all edges, click No.

3. Specify the offset direction (moving outside of entity means expanding outward, moving inside of entity means shrinking inward).

4. Click to confirm offset distance.

Note
To offset multiple edges, select the sidelines that you want to offset, and then enter the offset distance.
