After importing IFC models, you may find that the element types are matched incorrectly, so you need to convert elements. For example, the steel beams in IFC are imported as frame beams.

1. Click Convert Element, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to convert, and then right-click to confirm.

2. Select the element type that you want to convert to, and then right-click to confirm.

1. When converting elements, if you meet the same name elements, in the following window, click the corresponding option button as needed.

To create a element under the converted element type, click Create a new element named as “original name + n”.
To overwrite the attributes of the same-name elements (overwrite public attributes only, not private attributes), click Overwrite attributes of same-name elements in target element type.
To reserve the attributes of the same-name elements, click Reserve attributes of same-name elements in target element type.
