Reason: The firewall on local computer is turned on. [The ping service is blocked by default.]

1. Open Control Panel.
   
2. Open Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings.
   
3. Under Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security on Local Computer, Click Inbound Rules > File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In), right-click, and then select Enable Rule.
   
   
4. Verify whether the computers can ping each other.
